Traditional Massage: The clinical massage works with superficial muscle tissue using vigorous, percussive strokes combined with long flowing movements and shorter graping strokes.
Deep Tissue Massage is an effective pain reliever. By working very slowly, the therapist can penetrate deep into the tissues and release tension, restoring proper blood supply to muscles, tendons, and nerves.
Neuromuscular Therapy: This technique is a soft tissue therapy using pressure to the muscles, ligaments and tendons to release trigger points of pain. Trigger points are irritated nerve endings usually caused by emotional, nutritional and physical stress. Therapy can remove this irritation, thus improving posture and movement.
Reflexology: This ancient art works a healing of the whole body through stimulating and working reflex points on the feet, hands, and specific points on the body to restore proper energy circulation and health to distressed areas of the body.
Shiatsu and Acupressure are ancient Japanese techniques in which specific pressure points are contracted along meridian lines or energy channels. Precise pressure releases or increases energy to muscle, tissue, or body organs.
Polarity Therapy is a way to balance the body's energy field. The technique ranges from subtle, indirect, off the body treatment, (where the hands are held slightly above the area being worked on), to deep finger pressure into a specific area of the body.
Myofascial Release is a more recently developed therapy in which slow gentle pressure is applied, over many seconds or minutes, to obtain release of caught or "stuck" body tissues thus releasing trapped energy and tension.
Craniosacral Therapy is a very effective "new" approach which emphasizes the release of caught segments of the dura mater which houses the cranial and spinal fluids of the Central Nervous System. This process can have many dramatic and positive influences on all parts of the body.
